At Issemosegaard we have created a sanctuary rooted in nature, community, and the sacred healing wisdom of the Shipibo tradition from the Peruvian Amazon. As students of the master plants, we honor the ancient knowledge we have been entrusted with and offer shamanistic plant healing retreats to support others on their personal journeys of transformation.

But Issemosegaard is more than a retreat center — it is a living, breathing space where people come together throughout the year for a variety of gatherings, workshops, and events. Here, guests find an oasis where they can meet like-minded souls, share experiences, and draw inspiration from both nature and each other. Whether it is through ceremony, shared meals, meaningful conversations, time with the animals, or simply walking the land, many describe their time here as medicine in itself. We feel the same.

Healing and growth take many forms. Sometimes it is found in deep inner work; other times, in the simple joy of community, creativity, and connection. We believe in creating space for both — always with respect for the individual journey, and always in harmony with nature and Mother Earth.

Issemosegaard is located on the small island of Femø in southern Denmark – approximately 2.5 hours from Copenhagen. Here we are embraced by the wild beauty of Femø and the spirit of the land.
